Downtown Springfield, Illinois As Seen Offshore

Springfield's posh restaurants, hotels, and nightclubs ring the south side of Lake Springfield.

During Summer tourist mingle with swimmers and fisherman at Lincoln's Beach and Mary Todd's Pier. In Winter the Beach is closed to swimming, but ice skating is allowed.

    Really though, a shoreline would greatly enhance the downtown. Maybe if we moved Hunter Lake a little bit north.

    Springfield's City Council banned Jet Skis. There were too many complaints about the noise.

    Can't have everything.
