I'm posting my comment below.

With biblical possession we're looking at an observation, and understanding of an observation that dates to a time before the age of western science.

So how much of the phenomena of possession is understood via western science, and how much remains to be discovered?

There's also the spiritual, and religious approach to understanding such phenomena. Should any of that be factored in?

I'd tend to completely dismiss religious explanations, except I believe that in this case, at this point in time, western science has yet to grapple with several very important issues relating to human cognition, and behavior.

The scientific method, and the peer review process, remains unchallenged as a method for the development of human knowledge of the material world, yet human beings have only used this method for a very short time.

In the mad rush of eschewing anything seen as spiritual the whole realm of the spiritual has been cast into disrepute, and little scientific research has been funded in the field of parapsychology.

However, this state of neglect is about to change.

The coming age of quantum computers depends upon an understanding of types of quantum interactions which will most likely lead toward a greater understanding of how the brain works.

Science may soon verify that consciousness is the result of quantum interactions which incorporate non local input.

In fact the development of artificial intelligent computers may depend upon such interactions.

In any case huge amounts of money, and resources will soon be thrown into the development of logic devices of which their designs will depend upon a greater understanding of quantum forces than ever before.

One of the most profound obstacles to understanding quantum scale phenomena is the notion that what is seen at the quantum scale is necessarily confined to the quantum scale.

The next generation of computer scientist, engineers, software designers, communications specialist, and those studying logic will by necessity open the doorway to a future in which our "modern" classical understanding of causality, and locality will be challenged.

And how does this apply to the subject of possession?

If the brain is in fact a quantum computer, and if the brain is in fact networked within the supraluminal field, then spiritual possession may be not only be scientifically verifiable, but also rationally, and scientifically understood. We're about to find out.

Strange Lights Seen?

Last Thursday night, November 30th, 2006 was a night few local residents will forget. A severe winter storm hit the Midwest, leaving Central Illinois covered in ice, and snow. Hundreds of thousands of residents throughout the area lost power, with over thirty five thousand Springfield, Illinois residents losing power.

Blue flashes of light filled the sky as ice burdened power lines broke away from transformers. Other flashes of light were seen that night. The winter snow storm which hit the area also brought with it lightning. Snow storms which produce lightning, and thunder are rare.

Stranger still are reports of intense red, and green flashes of light coming from clouds over Jerome, Illinois - a suburb of Springfield, Illinois.

There has also been at least one report of strange multicolored lights possibly originating from an auto dealership located on Springfield, Illinois' southwest side!

Rich Miller writes, "I saw those multi-colored flashes as well Thursday night", referring to a blog post by Springfield blogger, JeromeProphet, "I was pulling into that 24 hour megastore just southwest of spfld when it happened".

Miller stated that he suspected that malfunctioning flood lights at a auto dealership was the cause of the multicolored lights which he saw on Springfield's far south side.

Knox wrote a series of blog post refuting a link between Miller's claims, and his own. Jerome Prophet went on to ask, how ordinary white floodlights could produce red, and green light of such an intensity that it could be seen through a driving ice storm several miles away when visibility was severely limited. He also claimed that the lights he, and his family saw were coming from clouds directly overhead, and not reflecting off of the bottom of clouds.

Jerome Prophet also pointed out, in a response to Miller, that auto dealership floodlights couldn't produce thunder, which Jerome Prophet claims his family heard.

Drive Through Area Leads To Questions

The short video above was taken of the auto dealership park on Springfield's southwest side. As you may notice the floodlights are producing white light. None appear to be flickering, or producing any other colors.

Out of dozens of flood lights which appeared to be working properly I located just one which wasn't functioning. Every light pole I noticed appeared to be undamaged, and properly erect. Each dual set of flood lights is capped at the top, and almost all light produced by the floodlights hits the ground below.

I have never seen ordinary floodlights produce green, blue, or red light simply because of power fluctuations. A simple experiment of attaching a floodlight to a dimmer switch, while fluctuating the amount of power reaching the floodlight produced no such alteration in color.

Questions For Rich Miller

You were in total disagreement with the interpretation (light flashes originating in clouds) of my own family's experience, but there are many questions I have about your experience.

Was this the Meijer's which is located at 4200 Conestoga Drive?

Rich you wrote, "The flashes coincided with a power outage, and I speculated at the time that it was all those incredibly bright street lights at the car dealerships behind the store going off, on, off (with accompanying power surges) that caused the bizarre light display".

So Rich you're "pulling into" the Meijer's parking lot, and the sky is filling with strange colored lights, and you "speculated at the time" that it was coming from the auto dealerships?

You managed to drive into the "Megastore's" parking lot without actually seeing the floodlights themselves (casting multicolored flashes) which you speculate at the time must be the cause of the bizarre light display.

Now if you had actually seen the white floodlights casting flashes of colored lights into the sky wouldn't you have said that? Instead you say, "speculated at the time", and so I must assume that you never actually saw the source of the multicolored light flashes.

If you only saw multi-colored flashes in the sky, and never saw the source of those flashes, and were forced to speculate on their origin, then why are you so sure that the light flashes were coming from the ground, and beaming into the sky?

In response to my own family's account in which we actually watched the flashes in the clouds directly over us you stated, "I strongly disagree. From my perspective, it appeared that the multi-colored lights were ground-based and glowing upwards, not the other way around".

But apparently you base this on sheer speculation since you never actually saw what you believe was the source of the light flashes.

Do you honestly believe that white floodlights can emit red, and green light?

Do you honestly believe that those floodlights could have filled the sky so brightly that the light from those auto dealership floodlights would have made its way all the way to Jerome when a heavy ice storm was in progress (see photo below)?

Is that what you're suggesting?

My own family broke out in laughter after hearing this.

In the photograph above we see the entrance of the "Megastore" which Rich Miller stated that he visited the Last Thursday night.

Despite the fact that the various auto dealership flood lights are clearly obvious to anyone with proper vision while entering into the complex Rich Miller wrote that he needed to speculate that light flashes were coming from the auto dealership.

Was Springfield, IL Subjected to EMF Experiment?

In my recent post titled, Blue, Green & Red Lightning Over Jerome Illinois, I recount how my family was startled to observe unusual colored light flickers coming from the clouds over Jerome, Illinois last Thursday night. November 30th, 2006 was the night a devastating ice storm struck Central Illinois. Tens of thousands of residents of Central Illinois are still living without power, while temperatures dip into single digits.

Anyone experienced with ice storms will probably know that power lines burdened by the weight of ice are ripped from their connections to overhead transformers, and that when this happens bright blue flashes fill the sky from electrical arching (sparks).

I've seen the illumination produced by such electrical arching on several occasions, but the multicolored flashes coming from the clouds over Jerome, Illinois last Thursday night were more than a bit suspicious. Pure green light, red light, and blue light flickered from within overhead clouds.

Rich,

I noticed that as well (power flickering, in tandem with clouds flickering).

Most people would assume that the light flashes were a result of power lines, heavy with ice, either falling to the ground, or shorting at the transformer.

I am in no way suggesting that there weren't many instances in which charged power lines weren't doing exactly that. We know that for a fact.

I've watched in fascination, and horror, as a tornado came straight into our neighborhood. I watched as the sky filled with sudden purplish blue flashes as transformers shorted out as the tornado advanced.

I've seen many similar blue flashes in another ice storm which hit this area many years ago.

Any normal person would assume that those strange colored lights must have been the result of ice shorting out power lines.

Most people have little reason to believe anything other than that.

Interestingly, it is exactly this assumption which allows for such an event to be exploited.

Read that again, because it is important.

If I fly up into a cloud, and start flashing a red, green, and blue strobe light on an average night - there will at least be some rumblings about the source of those lights.

If those same colored flashes occur on a night in which there is an alternative explanation (plausible denial for those whose fragile psyche needs it) then those flashes are much easier to produce without causing a public relations problem.

No Main Stream Media outlet will ever question the source of such flashes - it just won't happen.


EMF Weapon Testing Over Springfield, Illinois?

Rich, let's look at the coincidence of the strange colored light flashes, and the power flickering in homes, and businesses below.

I noticed those too. I never mentioned it, because I felt it would be a bit too much to ask from my readers. I'm certain that most of my regular readers don't believe any of what I write about these types of subjects.

I have a very good friend who also blogs, and while he politely tolerates my post on this type of subject he never (ever) comments on them! Despite our decades long friendship he doesn't believe in any of this at all, and except for one sarcastic post he's never made one single comment - despite the gravity of my allegations.

The lesson is, when one of your best buddies believes that you're either insane, or totally ignorant, for blogging about such topics you can only imagine what those who don't know you must assume.

Despite the risk of further damage to my credibility I'm going to address the subject further in this post. This isn't the first time I've seen such phenomena (i.e., flickering lights from clouds at the same time power flickers within the home). Having said that, so what? I suspect it's commonplace.

I've seen such phenomena many times, over many decades, even when no type of storm was present (ice storm or otherwise).

Although it may be a natural phenomena I'm inclined to believe otherwise.


A Type of EMF Dampening Field?

I've noticed that the "dampening" effect isn't confined to power coming from a power line into a home. It also appears to effect power from a battery going into a flashlight - especially if the flashlight's battery is already somewhat weak.

How does a flicker of "light" within a cloud cause a dampening of energy reaching a light bulb within the rather simple circuit of a flashlight?

With enough money, and within a very short period of time I suspect this wouldn't take much to develop.

Just placing a large Tesla coil within an aircraft, and powering it up over a city would cause some rather interesting electrical effects below.


Motive?

Why would anyone, or any organization, want to take advantage of a storm by testing EMF weapons on a metro area that is already under siege from wind, rain, snow, and ice?

First, because they can, and secondly because the storm provides a perfect cover for running such an operation.

Resultant harm?

Unknown.

Possible gain?

Additional development of such a weapon, and experience in using it under extreme weather conditions.

Are we lab rats?

Perhaps, but if there was no harm done, and such weapons are covertly advanced with the goal to defend us - perhaps that's the price we pay for our freedom, and prosperity.

One Final Question

I don't believe that EMF weapons produce red flickering from clouds. There might be something I don't understand about the physics, but there doesn't appear to be any reason for a red, or almost pure green light to be flickering down from within a cloud.

So why were such colors produced?

Perhaps we should ask those who produced them?

Spinning Tires, and Spinning Politicians

I can't help but think about the tens of thousands of residents of Springfield, and surrounding communities without power. With deadly cold temperatures hitting the area, and no way for people to heat their homes there's a critical need to restore power to those effected by Friday's ice, and snow storm.

Streets Still In A Dangerous State

Sangamon County Sheriff Neil Williamson's pronouncement on WICS newscast yesterday evening that Sangamon County's roads were "o.k."

I live just blocks from some yet to be incorporated Sangamon County. It's always amusing to see City of Springfield road crews handle their section, then the Village of Jerome handle its section, and then Sangamon County handle its section of neighborhoods in this little area.

Overall I'd say that The Village Of Jerome's Street Department does the best, followed by Sangamon County road crews, and Springfield's Street's Department performance coming in last.

Springfield Driving Was Slow Going

Despite exercising great care I almost slid through an intersection, and watched others do so. I noticed cars abandoned in the middle of the streets at strange angles (spin outs on the ice), and actual pieces of automobiles (bumpers, quarter sections) from what must have been accidents at several intersections.

Along my drive to, and from work, I noticed just one police car on patrol.

The roads I drove down were some of the most heavily used roads in the city, but all were covered with a compressed mixture of ice, and snow. I saw no snow trucks spreading salt, or cinder ash (Springfield doesn't use cinder ash anymore, but the County does).


Then Versus Now

Ozzy Langfelder was the Street's Commissioner back in the late 1970's. Year after year there would be major winter storms, and somehow the streets were kept cleaner of ice, and snow than they are today. Ozzy built a good reputation based upon how well the streets were kept in repair, and how well the Street's Department responded to winter storms. He was in fact so popular with the city's voters that when he ran for Mayor he won.

I realized that Springfield, Illinois has grown in size since the 1970s, and that due to global warming we haven't seen as many winter storms as in the past, but it seems obvious that there simply aren't enough trucks, and salt available. While I am not advocating a return to the commission form of government, it seems that handling these types of winter storms aren't taken quite as seriously as in the past.

I guess when a person's job isn't on the line, or when doing a good job can't act as a springboard into the Mayor's office, that priorities will change. Yet someone needs to be held accountable, so wouldn't that be the Mayor?

In the meantime, I believe that we need to see, and hear, fewer spinning tires before we see public officials doing their spin for the media.

Note to readers: I live in Jerome, Illinois a suburb of Springfield, Illinois. The roads in the Village of Jerome look much better than in surrounding Springfield.

Blue, Green & Red Lightning Over Jerome Illinois

The following is a paraphrasing of an actual conversation which took place last night during a winter ice, and snow, storm which hit Jerome, Illinois on the evening of November 30th, 2006. Jerome, Illinois is a suburb of Springfield, Illinois.

JeromeProphet: That's all we need, you birds need to fly back south before you set off an avalanche.

Wife: Who are you talking to?

JeromeProphet: Nobody Dear (finger points to the sky).

Wife: Oh my God, what is that?

JeromeProphet: What do you think it is?

Daughter: Dad, what are you, and mom talking about?

JeromeProphet: Nothing, it's nothing honey.

Wife: I've never seen green, blue, and red flickering lights in the clouds like that, what is that?

Daughter: (Coming to doorway) Dad, what is that?

JeromeProphet: It's nothing.

Daughter: That's really weird. Come back in, Dad!

Wife: I remember you said that when the tornado hit last Spring that the sky looked like that.

JeromeProphet: Yes, but those were power transformers popping, as the tornado approached.

These lights appear to be coming from directly overhead, from within, or above the clouds. Do you see how the cloud is only illuminated right over this area?

Notice how the light grows outward away from the center as it brightens, and then as the flash diminishes that the area of illumination shrinks back upon itself? It's not like an on-off switch, but more like the light in the bedroom - the one with the dimmer switch.

If you increase the power to the light, the light gets brighter, and it brightens the whole room, but if you reduce power to the bulb the light dims to where only the immediate area around the bulb is visible. It's the same pattern in the cloud above us.

If it were only reflections from a transformer the transformer would have to be directly under the cloud to make the same pattern. To make that amount of light there'd have to be some significant electrical arching (electric sparks caused by a short), yet the power around here is still up, and running.

What about those quick flickers, which look more like a strobe, than a random pattern of light? What about those quick shifts from deep shades of red, to blue, and then to green? Have you ever seen those colors coming from lightning? Have you ever seen those colors coming from electric sparks off of power lines? It doesn't look like electric sparks from downed power lines, or from tranformers to me, and I've seen that on more than one occasion.

Wife: What is that rumbling? Is that thunder?

JeromeProphet: Sounds just like thunder, but I'm not so sure if it is, or not.

Daughter: Dad, come inside, and close the door.

JeromeProphet: There's nothing to be afraid of.

Wife: What is it honey? That's red, and green lightning in the clouds. What's causing that?

Daughter: Yes, what is it Dad?

JeromeProphet: We must look at this scientifically, and not jump to any conclussions. We see strange colored lights, and hear rumbling sounds coming from the cloud?

Wife & Daughter: Right?

JeromeProphet: And that's as much as we can assume, and that is all.

Daughter: (Speaking on phone to boyfriend) It's really weird out above our house, there's green, and red flashing going on. I think it must be aliens.

JeromeProphet: No one said anything about aliens.

Wife: Is lightning green, or red, because I've never seen green, or red lightning before!

JeromeProphet: O.K., do you want my Mr. Science explanation? I believe that oxygen gives off a red color when it is heated into a plasma, and the bluish green would be the color which nitrogen gives off when it is superheated. Obviously this is not an ordinary lightning phenomena. We see white colored lightning because the atmosphere contains a variety of elements which produce a spectrum of colors that combine to form the color white. I've seen colored lightning before on several occasions, but it is rare. The intriguing question is how the oxygen, and nitrogen is being superheated in exclusion of each other.

Daughter: Hey Dad, make sure the side door is locked o.k.?

To establish the Weather Modification Operations and Research Board, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the `Weather Modification Research and Technology Transfer Authorization Act of 2005'.

SEC. 2. PURPOSE.

It is the purpose of this Act to develop and implement a comprehensive and coordinated national weather modification policy and a national cooperative Federal and State program of weather modification research and development.

SEC. 3. DEFINITIONS.

In this Act:

(1) BOARD- The term `Board' means the Weather Modification Advisory and Research Board.

(2) EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR- The term `Executive Director' means the Executive Director of the Weather Modification Advisory and Research Board.

(3) RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT- The term `research and development' means theoretical analysis, exploration, experimentation, and the extension of investigative findings and theories of scientific or technical nature into practical application for experimental and demonstration purposes, including the experimental production and testing of models, devices, equipment, materials, and processes.

(4) WEATHER MODIFICATION- The term `weather modification' means changing or controlling, or attempting to change or control, by artificial methods the natural development of atmospheric cloud forms or precipitation forms which occur in the troposphere.

SEC. 4. WEATHER MODIFICATION ADVISORY AND RESEARCH BOARD ESTABLISHED.

(a) IN GENERAL- There is established in the Department of Commerce the Weather Modification Advisory and Research Board.

(b) MEMBERSHIP-

(1) IN GENERAL- The Board shall consist of 11 members appointed by the Secretary of Commerce, of whom--

(A) at least 1 shall be a representative of the American Meteorological Society;

(B) at least 1 shall be a representative of the American Society of Civil Engineers;

(C) at least 1 shall be a representative of the National Academy of Sciences;

(D) at least 1 shall be a representative of the National Center for Atmospheric Research of the National Science Foundation;

(E) at least 2 shall be representatives of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the Department of Commerce;

(F) at least 1 shall be a representative of institutions of higher education or research institutes; and

(G) at least 1 shall be a representative of a State that is currently supporting operational weather modification projects.

(2) TENURE- A member of the Board serves at the pleasure of the Secretary of Commerce.

(3) VACANCIES- Any vacancy on the Board shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment.

(b) ADVISORY COMMITTEES- The Board may establish advisory committees to advise the Board and to make recommendations to the Board concerning legislation, policies, administration, research, and other matters.

(c) INITIAL MEETING- Not later than 30 days after the date on which all members of the Board have been appointed, the Board shall hold its first meeting.

(d) MEETINGS- The Board shall meet at the call of the Chair.

(e) QUORUM- A majority of the members of the Board shall constitute a quorum, but a lesser number of members may hold hearings.

(f) CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR- The Board shall select a Chair and Vice Chair from among its members.

SEC. 5. DUTIES OF THE BOARD.

(a) PROMOTION OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT- In order to assist in expanding the theoretical and practical knowledge of weather modification, the Board shall promote and fund research and development, studies, and investigations with respect to--

(1) improved forecast and decision-making technologies for weather modification operations, including tailored computer workstations and software and new observation systems with remote sensors; and

(2) assessments and evaluations of the efficacy of weather modification, both purposeful (including cloud-seeding operations) and inadvertent (including downwind effects and anthropogenic effects).

(b) FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE- Unless the use of the money is restricted or subject to any limitations provided by law, the Board shall use amounts in the Weather Modification Research and Development Fund--

(1) to pay its expenses in the administration of this Act, and

(2) to provide for research and development with respect to weather modifications by grants to, or contracts or cooperative arrangements, with public or private agencies.

(c) REPORT- The Board shall submit to the Secretary biennially a report on its findings and research results.

SEC. 6. POWERS OF THE BOARD.

(a) STUDIES, INVESTIGATIONS, AND HEARINGS- The Board may make any studies or investigations, obtain any information, and hold any hearings necessary or proper to administer or enforce this Act or any rules or orders issued under this Act.

(b) PERSONNEL- The Board may employ, as provided for in appropriations Acts, an Executive Director and other support staff necessary to perform duties and functions under this Act.

(c) COOPERATION WITH OTHER AGENCIES- The Board may cooperate with public or private agencies to promote the purposes of this Act.

(d) COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS- The Board may enter into cooperative agreements with the head of any department or agency of the United States, an appropriate official of any State or political subdivision of a State, or an appropriate official of any private or public agency or organization for conducting weather modification activities or cloud-seeding operations.

(e) CONDUCT AND CONTRACTS FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT- The Executive Director, with the approval of the Board, may conduct and may contract for research and development activities relating to the purposes of this section.

SEC. 7. COOPERATION WITH THE WEATHER MODIFICATION OPERATIONS AND RESEARCH BOARD.

The heads of the departments and agencies of the United States and the heads of any other public or private agencies and institutions that receive research funds from the United States shall, to the extent possible, give full support and cooperation to the Board and to initiate independent research and development programs that address weather modifications.

SEC. 8. FUNDING.

(a) IN GENERAL- There is established within the Treasury of the United States the Weather Modification Research and Development Fund, which shall consist of amounts appropriated pursuant to subsection (b) or received by the Board under subsection (c).

(b) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS- There is authorized to be appropriated to the Board for the purposes of carrying out the provisions of this Act $10,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2005 through 2014. Any sums appropriated under this subsection shall remain available, without fiscal year limitation, until expended.

(c) GIFTS- The Board may accept, use, and dispose of gifts or donations of services or property.

SEC. 9. EFFECTIVE DATE.

This Act shall take effect on October 1, 2005.

Covert Weather Mod Covers Up Global Warming

In prior post I have argued that the United States is operating a covert weather modification program. I've stated that the U.S. is employing stealth aircraft equipped with artificial lightning (particle beam) generators, and other weather modification technology, and methods (e.g., infrared lasers, and ultraviolet lasers, and cloud seeding) to trigger lightning bolts.

I've also linked lightning to sonic booms (i.e., thunder) which I claim triggers rain by forcing water vapor within clouds to condense. I've argued that by triggering more lightning within clouds than would be present naturally that precipitation patterns can be significantly altered.

By triggering rainfall over areas that are stricken with drought, or by reducing likely precipitation in already flooded areas, a covert weather modification program could justify in economic terms its existence.

By forcing precipitation over rural areas energy can be drained from weather fronts headed toward heavily populated areas thus reducing the likelihood of tornadic activity in highly populated areas.

By seeding clouds with carbon dust (soot) dispersed from stealth aircraft surface dimming can be used to reduce temperatures, alter barometric pressure gradients, and change the course of hurricanes. And through the use of dimming water surface temperatures in areas likely to spawn hurricanes can be reduced, thus reducing the likelihood of hurricane formation.

One could reasonably argue that the consequences of a properly administered weather modification program would more than justify the cost of such a program's existence.

It can also be argued that having such a program available in times of war would be extremely useful, and that using such a program covertly in times of "peace" against adversaries, or in favor of allies, would find use in both economic, and military terms.

However, there is at this very point in the history of both mankind, and the planet itself, a convergence of issues relating to the use of such a program. Simply stated, in the age of global warming the most important consequence of using a covert weather modification program is to enable greater devastation to the Earth's climate.

What might be good for one nation at one point in history may in fact lead to tremendously long term negative consequences for all of humanity for thousands of years to come.

Using such a program to smooth out weather to our advantage is similar to using a fire extinguisher to put out a fire in one room of a home that is engulfed in flames. One may feel comforted, and come to believe the danger is over, but by ignoring the greater crisis the entire home is doomed.

I mentioned before how odd it was that 2005 saw a greater number of severe hurricanes than in recent history, and yet 2006 saw not one single hurricane which hit the U.S. The effects of shutting down a hurricane season through the use of carbon dust cloud seeding may be an immediate savings of billions of dollars, but dimming does not result in a reduction of energy trapped within the atmosphere. Dimming surface areas will not stop the melting of the glaciers, nor will it stop the rise is sea levels, or an ice age triggered by global warming.

Covert weather modification will result in less political pressure being placed on our leaders to address carbon dioxide emissions, and addressing global warming as the rest of the world is doing.

Therefore I call for bringing the covert weather modification program out of the black. It most likely could be operated with significantly greater efficiency if it were no longer conducted covertly (e.g., lightning bolt corridors with significantly greater number of bolts in rural areas as needed to shut down tornadoes, and more accurately tune precipitation patterns). We then would need to admit that there is a huge problem which needs to be addressed - global warming.

Did C.I.A. Kill 2006 Hurricane Season?

Ominous Predictions

The 2006 hurricane season was rather unusual. Only a year before had two major Hurricanes (i.e., Katrina, and Rita) attack the gulf coast creating historic levels of damage. The economic, and political repercussions of the 2005 hurricane season was unlike anything anyone had seen before. Global warming became an economic issue which directly effected the nation's economy. Insurance companies began to discuss global warming in real economic impact. The nation began to wonder if the government was prepared to handle another round of natural disasters.

At the outset of the 2006 hurricane season predictions of yet another severe hurricane season were made. In fact the severity, and number, or hurricane's striking the U.S. was expected to be worse than in 2005.

Then nothing happened.


Election Year Hurricane Season

One can only imagine what type of devastation a series of large hurricanes would have brought to the U.S. just one year after Katrina. Each new hurricane would have cost billions of dollars in damage to coastal communities, damaging the economy just before the November 2006 Mid Term elections. Hurricane Katrina had shown how politically damaging being unprepared for disasters could be. The 2005 hurricane season had also shown how damaging denying global warming could be. Would FEMA, and Homeland Defense have been prepared for another of severe hurricanes so soon after the 2005 hurricane season? If it wasn't who would have been blamed? How would public's perceptions of the Bush Administration been changed in light of another round of disasters? How would this predicted back to back round of hurricanes changed public perception of the issue of global warming?

We'll never know.


Perception Equals Reality

Most people believe that weather is the result of natural, and random, phenomena. Some are beginning to believe that humans have inadvertently altered climate, and weather, to some degree through pollution, and global warming.

Almost no one believes that humans possess the technical means of altering weather.

It is precisely this widespread belief in human being's inability to alter weather which would enable such a program to be developed covertly.


Can Weather Be Modified?

If most climate scientist were polled it is doubtful that a majority would reveal any belief that climate could be changed easily using existing technical means. Ask most meteorologist if they believe that weather could readily be altered, and most would chuckle. Current perception by those most informed about weather, and climate would likely characterize weather modification as futuristic.

But what technical means would need to exist in the future which don't currently that would enable modification of weather?


Global Dimming Cools Surface Areas

While much talk has centered around the role of global warming upon climate little discussion, until recently, has been made about the role of global dimming. Global dimming is a process by which surface areas are cooled as a result of particulate matter in the atmosphere. Dust, and pollutants within clouds reduce the amount of infrared radiation (heat) which reaches the surface below. Most readers will recall the sudden drop of temperature which takes place immediately after a cloud hovers overhead on an otherwise sunny day. Clouds cool the Earth's surface by filtering infrared radiation, and also by reflecting sunlight back into space.


All Clouds Not Created Equal

All clouds do not alter the path of the sun's radiation equally. High altitude clouds (i.e., cirrus) reflect larger amounts of the sun's heat back into space than lower altitude clouds associated with thunderstorms (i.e., cumulus). While cumulus clouds soak up solar radiation, they also reduce the amount of heat reaching the surface below. Recent studies have shown that the amount of heat, and light reaching the earth's surface is significantly reduced through global dimming.

While earth's temperature has been on the rise from global warming, pollution has reduced temperatures around cities through global dimming. Human being's impact upon weather, and climate has been profound.


Doping Clouds With Carbon Dust - Soot

If it were possible to gauge the effect of a given amount of pollution upon surface temperatures it might be possible to create a dataset upon which computer simulations could be based. Once simulations were created it might be possible to predict what effect would follow the deliberate addition of soot to the atmosphere might have. Such simulations would demand large amounts of computation time on very fast computers (super computers).

What would the effect be if a large area (continental) of cloud cover were deliberately doped with carbon dust? Could the temperature of a very large surface area be reduced?

What effect would carbon dust doping of large areas of cloud cover have upon the temperature of land, and water surfaces?

To what practical effect would such temperature reductions be put?


Creating Clouds The Old Fashioned Way - Jet Contrails

On any given day over the U.S. thousands of high flying aircraft cross the sky. These aircraft often leave a reminder of their flight path in the form of long streaks of cloud called contrails.

Contrails by the thousands seed otherwise cloudless skies thus starting huge ranges of cloud cover which move in an easterly direction across the continental U.S.

Some accusations have been made that by slightly altering the ingredients to aviation fuel that significantly greater numbers of long lasting contrails can be produced.

It is obvious that in order to dope clouds with carbon dust (soot) that it is first necessary to have clouds, and therefore developing a means of increasing cloud production would be important to any weather modification program.


Stealth Aircraft Could Be Used For Cloud Doping

Once an initial range of cloud cover has been created there remains the task of increasing the particulate level with that cloud cover. Most of my readers will recall noticing how some clouds seem darker than others, and that as darker clouds pass overhead they usually cool the surface much more effectively than less dense clouds. The relationship between particulate levels, surface temperatures is clear from an observational standpoint.

Stealth aircraft could easily crisscross large areas of cloud cover without detection during the night spraying carbon dust into clouds. The effect would be to increase dimming, and reduce surface temperatures.


Water Surface Temperatures Drive Hurricanes

Hurricane season typically last for several months. Hurricanes which hit the U.S. obtain their energy from solar energy which is stored in the uppermost surface areas of the ocean, and Gulf of Mexico. Reducing surface water temperatures for even a short period during the hurricane season might be possible through directed surface dimming. Any such program would cost hundreds of millions of dollars, would involve at the very least dozens of aircraft for several months, and could only be carried out covertly using stealth aircraft.


Would It Be Worth The Cost?

The magnitude of damage caused by a string of major hurricanes would have totaled in the hundreds of billions of dollars. An advanced covert weather modification program running a months long operation to cool a small portion of the Gulf of Mexico, or Mid Atlantic may cost several billion dollars, but would be economically justified.


Implications

There certainly would be implications. The insurance industry assumes that hurricanes are natural disasters, other nations assume that droughts caused by a lack of precipitation due to a lack of hurricanes is an act of god. International treaties to which the U.S. is a signatory make it clear that altering the weather to this extent would be illegal. Certainly there is a need to way the cost of modify weather in light of economic, and political considerations, but it must also be kept in mind that the effects of global warming can not be covered up with global dimming for much longer.

The broader issue of man's impact upon climate must be addressed, and any such covert program employed to mitigate the effect of global warming must not be abused for political ends.

Books have been written on the subject of dreams. Dreams are not a new subject for scientific research, but science is a relatively new approach in the accumulation of knowledge. I argue that one doesn't need to Ph.D. to offer an opinion on the subject of dreams. Poets, and philosophers have been offering up their opinions on the subject of dreams for a very long time, and so I too will offer my ideas on the subject to my readers. I hope not to stray too far from a rational, and scientifically verifiable set of opinions.

Brain As Computer Or Tachyonic Transceiver?

I believe the way human experience is perceived falls into two basic camps.

There are those who believe that the brain, encased within the cranium, receives only those signals which are provided to it via neural pathways. This perception of the brain sees the brain as a neural chemical computer that processes data fed to it via hardwired neural inputs.

There are others who believe that the brain (the self) connects (perceives) to an "outside reality" by means that bipass the five sensory pathways.

Prescientific Ideation Related To The Nature Of Human Perception

Ideation related to the self's (brain's) connection to a "greater reality" is found in cultures throughout the modern world, and in history. This relationship is described as "Spirituality". Despite the various means of describing the relationship between self, and the "greater reality" many common themes appear to exist.


The Self, and Its Connection To Space, Time & Energy

Prescientific descriptions of the relationship between the self, space, time, matter, and energy are described by religion, and pre-religions.

Prescientific ideations defining the self's relationship to a "greater reality" include:

How is prescientific ideation connected to dreaming?

In each example of prescientific ideation, listed above, "belief" (i.e., a subset of thought) plays a vital role. Belief, or disbelief, in a god, magic belief, etc., forms the basis (matrix, or filter) of the relationship between the self, and the "greater reality".

Thought itself is the pivotal process by which the self perceives itself into existence (sentience). I think therefore I exist. Thought allows the self to question its relationship with the "greater reality".


Telepathy - A Common Theme Of Prescientific Beliefs

The relationship between thought, and the "greater reality" is given a special role in prescientific ideation. Most prescientific belief systems advocate that the self is connected to the "greater reality" in a manner not entirely dependent upon "classical channels".

Science And Telepathy

Is it possible that thought is transmitted beyond just a few centimeters outside the cranium?

While brainwaves are a form of radio, due to their wavelength, and wattage, they can not be detected without electronic equipment which must be positioned at a close distance. Can it be possible that thought is truly the means by which the self connects directly to the "greater reality"? Does prayer work?

Quantum Entanglement & The Tachyonic Field

Subluminal, and luminal electromagnetic fields interact with the brain. The interaction of electro magnetic waves produced by the brain with other radio waves produced outside the brain results in the creation of harmonic electromagnetic wave patterns possessing hybrid wave patterns (interference patterns). Weak electrochemically produced radio waves produced by the brain interact with natural, and man made radiation sources, and produce radio waves which can be detected at distances significantly more distant than brainwaves can.

Yet, without radio detection equipment, and brain wave pattern analysis technology could the detection, and analysis of thought, outside the general locality of the cranium be possible? Is telepathy in any of its generally recognizable forms, including prayer, possible?

In Nonlocal Effects of Chemical Substances on the Brain Produced Through Quantum Entanglement, Huping Hu, and Moaxin Wu describe experiments in which they appear to have employed quantum entanglement to create a state of sedation in test subjects.

In their controversial study they conclude:

"Several important conclusions and implications can be
drawn from our findings. First, biologically and chemically
meaningful information can be communicated via quantum
entanglement from one place to another by photons and
possibly other quantum objects such as electrons, atoms
and even molecules. Second, both classical and quantum
information can be transmitted between locations of arbitrary
distances through quantum entanglement alone. Third, in-
stantaneous signalling is physically real which implies that
Einstein’s theory of relativity is in real (not just superficial)
conflict with quantum theory. Fourth, brain processes such
as perception and other biological processes likely involve
quantum information and nuclear and/or electronic spins
may play important roles in these processes. Further, our
findings provide important new insights into the essence and
implications of the mysterious quantum entanglement and
clues for solving the long-standing measurement problem in
quantum theory including the roles of the observer and/or
consciousness. Very importantly, our findings also provide a
unified scientific framework for explaining many paranormal
and/or anomalous effects such as telepathy, telekinesis and
homeopathy, if they do indeed exist, thus transforming these
paranormal and anomalous effects into the domains of con-
ventional sciences."

While the aforementioned study was not double blinded, and needs to be replicated by others using better equipment, I suspect that further study will confirm a role for quantum entanglement in neuronal information processing.

The brain is best appreciated as a result of biological selection, and adaption. It is apparent at this juncture in our understanding of the brain that the role of quantum entanglement in the evolution, and design of the brain, must be accommodated.

In what way has the evolution, and design of the brain been altered as a result of its evolution in a tachyonic field? In what way has the pattern of the brain's neural architecture been based upon quantum entanglement?


Subconscious Capture & Processing Of Transdimensional Information Via Dreams

An early concept relating to human perception is that of the subconscious. While semantic debate continues as to the form, and definition, of the subconscious there is little argument that the vast majority of neural processing which takes place within the brain never becomes apparent to the conscious self.

Only a portion of neural processing output ever reaches conscious perception. This suggest that a large portion of processed input, and intermediary processing outputs are dropped. However, this filtration doesn't imply that the dropped data isn't stored for later processing, or that it wasn't, or won't be, included in the processing of information which is, or will be, presented to the conscious mind.

I suggest that it is the existence of the subconscious which allows for non-wave form collapsing interactions with entangled states, and the supraluminal field. The subconscious mind treads lightly upon the transdimensional interface.

I argue that while the conscious mind recognizes tardyonically obtained information, tachyonically obtained "information" is filtered through the subconscious (e.g., hunch, dreams, feelings, guesses, instinct, prophecy). This is due to the necessity of time paradox avoidance, as well as protection of the ego construct (a psychobiological defense mechanism).

The phrase "time paradox avoidance" should be interpreted as meaning that under no circumstances can a time paradox ever exist. The universe does not allow for a time paradox, and therefore "information" obtained from supraluminal sources is captured, and processed in the only way that it can be.

This doesn't in any way suggest that supraluminal interaction isn't a fundamental property of the universe, nor does it suggest that information can't be passed via a supraluminal conduit.

While there is no need for an "active" process of time paradox avoidance, interaction with the supraluminal field necessitates a means by which input is both detected, and processed in an meaningful order (with temporal, and spatial references) within a decision making system - all without violating causality.

Pink Springfield Illinois Police Cruisers

The Springfield, Illinois Police Department is in the process of updating the look of their squad cars.

I say that before we retire the old design completely, let's look at some possible alterations that could save those old squad cars from the scrap heap.

It's time for a paint job!

I know that some would object to neon green lettering on neon pink cruisers, but you'd have to admit the change would have a pretty profound effect on community perception of our officers on the beat.

Some studies have shown that painting "drunk tanks" in shocking pink has a calming effect on even the most obnoxious drunks. Perhaps the sight of shocking pink police cruisers prowling crime ridden streets would have a similar calming effect, and thus reduce crime?

Since I'm not a resident of Springfield, Illinois, I can only recommend that my readers who reside in Springfield bring this proposal before the city council.

Back From A Funeral

I Just returned from my brother in laws funeral. In the years that I knew him he lived a simple life. In my presence he never said an unkind word about anyone, nor even raise his voice in anger.

In my presence he never uttered a curse word, or made a sly suggestion - ever.

He always showed up when he said that he would, and always volunteered to help in any way that he could.

He'd always help clean up those huge Christmas Dinner, and Thanksgiving Dinner messes. He always had gifts for every occasion, whether it be for a birthday, Easter, or Christmas.

He was a nice Uncle for my little girl, and she cried at his funeral today - always a good sign.

He wasn't a rich man, or a successful man in the material sense. He wasn't a perfect man, but none of us are. He was just a quiet, and ordinary guy.

He had some health problems towards the end. His hearing was never that good when I knew him, and he developed Parkinson's Disease. Eventually he ended up in a rehabilitation center, and died of Pneumonia.

Today he was buried at Camp Butler, after a military funeral. The men, and women who carry out those services are simply incredible.

I'll miss Gary - he was a nice guy.
